As part of R&G’s continued commitment to corporate social responsibility, the company is pleased to announce further sport sponsorship initiatives for 2016.
Aldershot & Farnham junior hockey club received vital training equipment and kit from R&G this year with a generous donation from R&G’s Sport Support fund. Based at Heath End School, Surrey, it now has a large group of junior hockey goalkeepers, aged from 9 to 17, with a good mix of girls and boys.
R&G owner Mathew Prestwich, a former Great Britain U21 hockey keeper, was impressed with the new equipment and training he saw at a recent practice session and stressed how important the protective equipment is, helping build confidence while maintaining mobility.
Club chairman, Nigel Oates commented, “The youngsters are delighted with the new kit, as are the club and their parents. These kids are the clubs future. Your generosity not only ensures they are as safe as possible, but enables us to give them a very solid and demonstrable show of support, that they can hope to achieve their maximum potential without having to worry if their kit is going to fall apart”.
