R&G recently supported Action Against Hunger at the Taste of London festival. The successful four day event raised an incredible £13,000 for the charity partner.
5 top chefs created 5 exclusive dishes at Action Against Hunger’s popular 5 Star Kebab Restaurant. The five star chefs were:
Duck and Waffle’s – Dan Doherty
Cinnamon Club’s – Vivek Singh
Italian culinary superstar – Francesco Mazzei
Roux at Parliament Square’s- Steve Groves
Award-winning chef and author – Sabrina Ghayour
R&G supplied the chefs with a premium selection of fresh-cut herbs, which were used as ingredients to create 5 mouth-watering ultimate kebabs. See Vivek Singh’s 5 star Kebab here
The 5 Star restaurant and other fundraising activities on-site raised enough to provide nutritional treatment to save the lives of over 300 severely malnourished children, or deliver training and seeds to plant for an entire season to more than 800 families in Kenya.
R&G’s general manager Dean Fowler commented, “R&G were proud supporters of the popular Taste festival in London and the Action Against Hunger cause. We supplied our premium fresh-cut Dill, Coriander, Mint and Parsley which were used as part of a selection of ingredients by the talented chef’s to create delicious kebabs . The feedback we had from the customers was excellent”.
